About Us
Ascension for the Arts, Inc. (AftA), is a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit Corporation with a mission to provide a versatile theater arts space, dedicated to producing innovative and entertaining works while providing a fully equipped space for theatrical productions, regionally based theater companies, theater workshops, and non-mainstream performance art to encourage diversity and inspire a new generation of theatergoers.
AftA is located in the former Church of the Ascension, at the corner of North Street and Linwood Avenue. AftA will provide coveted downtown space for rent to theaters who don’t own a physical space to put on productions. AftA will also be a community center, offering its space to rent for educational workshops and assembly space for private individuals and community groups.
